Football is one of the sports activities held by the University of Auburn. With the football team known as the Auburn Tigers, they compete with football teams from other universities in the Football Bowl Subdivision competition (FBS) of the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) and the Western Division of the Southeastern Conference (SEC).

As for places to practice or play, the Auburn Tigers have a stadium named Jordan-Hare Stadium. The stadium was officially opened in 1939. With a capacity of 87.451 seats, which reached the chair, making Jordan-Hare Stadium as Alabama's fifth Largest city on gamedays.

The official Auburn Tigers football team competing in the world of football in 1892 and joined the Southeastern Conference in 1932 as one of the inaugural members of the conference. The mortal enemy of the Auburn Tigers are a team of Alabama known as the Crimson Tide . Each year, the two teams will always meet in the Iron Bowl, the biggest competition in the world of sports. There is another mortal enemy of the Auburn Tigers ie with SEC foes Georgia and LSU. Although until 1992 they have never competed, but both teams are always keeping the rivalry respectively.
