Cayuga Community College

Cayuga Community College is one of 64 institutions of higher education accredited providers that form the State University of New York (SUNY), a comprehensive system of public higher education the nation's largest.

CCC was established under the sponsorship of Auburn City School District in 1953 as Auburn Community College, and officially renamed the Cayuga County Community College in 1975. Operating Fulton grew rapidly from two classrooms in the city center in 1994 to its current facilities in West Broadway (Route 3). And since officially opened in 2001, Fulton campus now serves more than 1,000 students each academic year.

The Auburn campus is in Cayuga County, which is located in the heart of New York State's Finger Lakes region. The Fulton campus offers a quality academic education system for the people in Oswego County and surrounding areas with a variety of courses, including some complete degree programs, in access and easy commuting distance.

CCC sponsored by Cayuga County government and governed by the 10-member Board of Trustees. Educational programs and activities of academic operations at CCC coordinated by the State University of New York and is subject to the approval of the State Department of Education.

Dedicated to the students in the central New York area to provide diverse learning opportunities to discover their passion and promote their personal and professional growth. And because more demand for distance learning students will-in the whole world, Cayuga provides affordable gateway to higher education, with courses and degree programs offered through the two systems, campus and online.

CCC is committed to becoming a college with the best service in Cayuga and Oswego Counties. CCC offers career-oriented curriculum on the basis of degree and certificate. Popular CCC programs are widely taken by students including liberal arts, education, broadcasting, studio art and design, business, nursing, and criminal justice. One of the best programs available, Geographic Information Systems program, providing hands-on training in the field of high-level technology with space-based mapping and imaging, also gives a special relationship with NASA, sponsored Application of Geospatial Technology Institute, which is located on the campus of Auburn.

To provide a schedule and courses tailored to the student activities, CCC provides a flexible choice in determining which programs will be pursued by the students. This is because more than 40% of those enrolled in the CCC over the age of 22 years, who have more responsibility to work and their families. With the conveniences offered, students can take courses in Auburn, Fulton, or both, and can choose from a weekday, evening and Sunday classes. Many courses, even some complete degree programs are also available online. By paddock, flexibility is characteristic of the CCC.

In addition to providing a wide range of academic activities, CCC also provides a variety of clubs, organizations, and other non-academic activities that offer a diverse experience for students. Ranging from sports clubs to compete in Division III NJCAA competition, the choir college student radio station, up from orientation staffing to the student newspaper.
